Data are transforming our world, and as one of Bangladesh's leading educational institutions, Department of Software Engineering of Daffodil International University aspires to pave the road toward a data-driven smart Bangladesh. With this purpose in mind, we conduct a Data Science Summit every year where we try to bring together leaders and professionals from various areas to engage in active dialogues and share their provocative ideas.
As a part of our ongoing endeavors, this year, the 2nd DIU Data Science Summit 2021, organized by Data Science Lab of the Department of Software Engineering of Daffodil International University, will be a daylong event, taking place on Saturday 11th December 2021 at the Daffodil Smart City, Ashulia.
Data Science Workshops
Everyone has to work with data at some point of their career regardless of the fields or domains they are working in. Therefore, to compete in the market, everyone has to have the ability to handle data. To align with this vision, this year, we are going to arrange workshops on the following two topics:
1. Data Visualization
2. Business Analytics
The workshops will be taken by industry experts. Participants will get opportunity to connect with the industry, and they will be provided certificates upon successful completion of the workshop.
Panel Discussion
Experts and leaders from the industries and academia will be invited to shed lights on the future of data science education and practice in Bangladesh.
Seminar on Data Science Career
The seminar's main goal is to expose students to real-world situations. Leaders and specialists from various companies will speak about their work, and students will have the opportunity to network and learn how to prepare for the industry.
Compete in Data Science Hackathon
Teams from all over Bangladesh will team up and compete against each other to solve complex data-driven problems to hack their way into the leaderboard.
